Is there anywhere is Staffordshire you can fly your drone? Somewhere with a focal point? I feel there is nowhere left that doesn’t say No Drones !
Hi @Philk1 and welcome to Grey Arrows
I see from your bio you have a Mini 2, fly that pretty much anywhere. Where in Staffs have you tried?
Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too

Welcome once again!
Hi Philip - welcome to GADC
Hi there
Fly over whatever you like as long as you’re outside the landowners land that says ‘no drones’ they don’t own the airspace. As long as you can also keep within visual line of sight as well of course! You don’t need to be right next to somewhere to take stunning aerial photos. Sometimes the more distant ones I find more pleasing on the eyes.
Welcome Phil from the Black Country.
Where are you in Staffs, it’s a big county?
Hi I live in Burntwood near Lichfield
Cheers ! thanks thats what i have been doing to be honest
I used to live behind the Cottage of Content in Chasetown, now I’m just down the road in Bloxwich. If you want to come over Walsall Arboretum for a fly, send a PM and we’ll sort something out.
Places I’ve flown in Staffs:
Bolehill Viaduct, Tamworth
Brindley Bank Aqueduct, Rugeley
Chatterley Whitfield Colliery
Croxton Abbey
Ferry Bridge, Burton-upon-Trent
Fradley Junction
More in Staffordshire:
