St. Nicholas Church in Chawton is situated within the grounds of the great house owned by her brother Edward and close to the cottage where Jane, her sister and mother lived. The current church dates back to the 1870 as there's not much of the original medieval church remaining since the fire in 1870.
Janes mother and sister are buried next to each other towards the back of the church yard and a small statue of Jane Austen greets you when you walk up to the Church.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 27/12/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
There are no parking or take off and landing markers on the map at this location. Could anyone that has flown here or knows the area add some useful markers to the map, please?
The approach road is public from the village until it reaches the overhead barrier by the house entrance, then there is a public footpath from through the parking area beyond that good for either take off or landing. Will have a go on adding it later
