Hey all, just signed up, been flying my drone for just over 6 months, still get nervous when flying about crashing and being approached by people. I have 2 drones I started with a Holystone 175D, I then purchased a DJI mini 3, which is easier to fly and takes better pictures/video. Now off to read the forum

Hi @Velo-Drone and welcome to GADC
Hi, @Velo-Drone … welcome.
Which part of the country are you based?
Hi @Velo-Drone - welcome to GADC
Welcome… you are in the right place.
If you are like me, you haven’t had much chance to fly over the past 6-months… it never stops raining long enough!
I was also anxious about being approached, but so far, the only interaction I have had (and there haven’t been many of those) have all been positive. I’d recommend being confident in the rules, and you will almost certainly know more than anyone challenging you.
Enjoy it
@Velo-Drone Welcome from Wiltshire, great to see you on here. I am the same as you, had a HS720E, it crashed and was replaced by HS but the replacement keeps disconnecting from the controller, so I bought a DJI Mini 3 Pro, the best thing I ever done. The HS experience has left me nervous so I signed up to full membership with insurance, a great move.
Hi @Velo-Drone , welcome to GADC.
Hi I live in the anglian region, on the Suffolk Essex border.
Updated the thread title. Makes it more likely that other members local to you will pop in and say Hi.
I found the HS 175D to be quite a good drone at the time it had many of the features DJI has, waypoint, POI and RTH, just no where near as good as I have since found. I did crash my HS as I was videoing and took a picture at the same time, the app then crashed and it attempted to RTH but it was off by some 20ft and landed in a large bush.
@Velo-Drone about the same as mine until it went horribly wrong. I found the POI and most other features quite poor compared to DJI, but I suppose there is a big difference in price

Hi and welcome to this group. It is a great place to be and a Mini 3 Pro is a great drone. We love ours (apart from when we crashed it). My fault lol.
