Hi everyone. I’ve been on this site for a few months now and I’ve enjoyed reading a large number of articles. I don’t usually have much to say but I really enjoy reading items on this site. There are clearly a lot of very knowledgeable people here who are very experienced with drones.
I initially bought a DJI Mini 2 but was so impressed that I recently upgraded to a DJI Mini 4 Pro. Best to have all the protection of the obstacle avoidance! I’ll have to sell the Mini 2 eventually but I’m not sure where.
I live in Cardiff and am also able to fly around the area of a 40 acre farm in West Wales which is very rural. So far I’ve mostly flown my Mini 4 in West Wales as I don’t like my neighbours in Cardiff hearing the noise of the props.
So, I thank you all for having me and look forward to lots of flying and having the benefit of all your expertise.

feel free to pipe up and partake and maybe make a meet or two for a flight with like minded individuals… if we all stay silent and look and learn then the pool of knowledge and support for the group will deminish
I’m interested that you say you don’t want your neighbours hearing the noise of the props.
Have you noticed any significant difference in the overall noise between the Mini 2 and the Mini 4?
I must say the the Mini 4 is definitely less noisy than the Mini 2 but its still loud enough to be annoying to other people. I’ve tended to take off and go straight up before doing any other manoeuvring as I’m in a built up residential area.
