Hi my name Andy (yes like Toy Story) I’ve just starting to learn to fly with the DJI mini 2SE.
Wow! What a fantastic experience!
The sad part is our Nephew (who’s 11 years old) is better than me! Of course I don’t tell him that, but he is a bit of a gamer, which I think helps. I live in Northampton, finding it difficult to find any where to practice, any suggestions, tips etc……please would be welcome :hugs: I found David Halliday books and Audio helpful (to try to be professional about it). Thank you!

Have you seen our Members Map? You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too :+1:t2:

We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the Questions & Answers category.

And finally, if you are new to drones and wondering what it’s all about, have a look at Resources for a beginner.

Lots of info and good folks, should be a Group local to you on the groups page that will organise meet-ups and stuff - we have a very active group in the NW…

Enjoy your MINI2SE, cracking drone, but beware, one drone is never enough!!

Yes, I go to meet-ups in the NW, I have organised some myself, and have traveled as far as Hull and Birmingham for meet-ups… I am planning on going to the Big Meet in a few weeks time too…

Suitable for youngsters, possibly, you would need to contact the organiser and they would need to be supervised, I know one family that come along and the youngster flies, probably better than most of the rest of us tbh…
