OK, I’ll be honest, I was generally trying not to look too closely at the picture
The good old Cerne Giant … replicated in a Litchi Mission in a field down the road.
You do see Litchi, though - things might have changed in the 4 years since that flight of mine (that was easy to copy from elsewhere on GADC).
Ha! Looking at the same flight on AirData now … the Litchi version now shows, but still “SDK App”. I must find the log file and re-upload.
Hey @OzoneVibe I’m sorry to be bombarding you with this flood of questions, but I have another one?
I decided, given that I was testing out both Litchi and a new Android tablet for the first time, that I would do my first flight manually using the Fly App. Then I would switch to the Litchi App and fly that one manually also, just so I could be sure of how it operated. Before turning it over to fully autonomous missions.
My Fly app mission reports back the RTH being set (I have learnt to let it hover for 5-10 seconds before moving off on ANY mission). The next flight was the manual Litchi mission, no automation. I did the same thing as before and hovered for 5-10 seconds before moving off.
In the Fly app the RTH is logged, but in the Litchi app there is no mention of it. I can’t believe that Litchi does not register the RTH setting?

Litchi App:
Thanks again for sticking with me on this, it’s much appreciated
The Log from Litchi may not say that it has set RTH (same in mine, it would appear), but I know I have RTH from the middle of a mission OK, so I’m happy that it’s OK.
One of the Litchi Mission End options is RTH, so it knows of its existence.
RTH isn’t set by the app - it’s set within the drone on take-off … might be that, for some reason, Litchi don’t log it.
Could be worth asking them the question.
I have done this in the Litchi forums. The general answer seems to be that so long as you see the “H” on the data map, you have RTH set. I have my missions set to RTH at the end of the mission and it works, but I got some very strange RTH behaviour when it came in to land on one occasion.
But that could have been be pressing things while it was trying to land, rather than leaving it alone.
My AIR2S didn’t seem to be very accurate when landing today
I could count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I’ve used RTH … and I’ve always landed manually … outside the initial ownership checking that it actually worked (early days of such wizardry in late 2016) … and the inevitable “showing friends how amazing it was” back in those days.
I must admit that these days I let RTH bring it back to being overhead and then land it manually. I tend to be more accurate than the landing algorithm.
Litchi flights show in Airdata fine for me
Steps include a 30% Airdata discount for Litchi users, which can be applied to existing accounts too …
- If you haven’t already done so, register an Airdata UAV account at Airdata.com.
- In your Airdata UAV account settings, navigate to the “Auto Upload Token” tab where you will find your “User Token”.
- Make sure you are using Litchi version 1.7.0 (iOS) or 3.4.0 (Android), or a higher version (you can check the Litchi version in the general settings).
- In the Litchi app’s settings, enter your Airdata UAV “User Token”.
- Tap on “Sync with Airdata UAV Now” to synchronize at least one Litchi flight log with your Airdata UAV account.
- Use the LITCHI30 coupon code in your Airdata UAV account when purchasing a monthly or annual HD subscription.
Looks like he sorted that issue.
I think he’s a long term AirData user already, too.
He’s way longer term GADC member than you.
@clinkadink Thanks for this. As @OzoneVibe says, I have been using AirData with subscription since (WOW!) December 2019, with my short-lived Mavic Mini 1. I have applied my AirData token to the new installation on my new device and it has sync’ed my flights from yesterday without any problems.
Wish I’d thought to look for the discount code for Litchi before purchase however, that’s a shame.
Yeah, I was just mentioning the steps to get 30% off an existing sub.
OK, so I seem to be having a rash of “elder moments” today, so apologies in advance.
With regards to the AirData subscription, my next renewal is in Jan 2023, but I am reading from your comment “…off an existing sub” that I can go and get a discount off the sub I am currently running through?
I didn’t know you could do that. Or is it just another run on my “elder moments” morning?
I’m currently on their “Gold” subscription.
I pay monthly for my subscription. When I applied the 30%, my next month’s bill was 30% less.
OK, maybe that’s something I need to bear in mind for next January when the renewal comes around Thanks again!
You can apply the discount now, and it should come into effect for your next renewal. I just don’t think it will retrospectively refund 30% of your payment last January.
LOL, yeah, that’s NOT the world we live in. But thanks for the suggestion about applying it now. I will go look at doing that.
