Summer’s coming to an end but would love to join any other London drone flyers looking to make the most of it before it does!
I’m thinking 16:00 - 19:00 ish on Sunday because the Met Office currently suggests that’s one of the few times not raining this weekend. Happy to alter it though. And if it does end up raining (or if people want to afterwards), we could fly to a pub rather than fly our drones.
Let me know below where’s convenient (can keep it vague like SE, NW, E if you don’t want to say precisely where). And we’ll find a decent open space (and a decent backup pub).
Further out than I was thinking but it actually looks like a lovely location. It was a good spot when you went before? I’d love to check it out. Would 16:00-19:00 work for you? If so I’ll make a proper meet-up page.
I’ve only been once and miserably failed the flying bit because of rain.(We were en-route elsewhere and timing was ****!) However, it looked very good and a couple of other people I know have got great images of Hampton Court. I’ve had it on my ‘to go’ list for some time.
The negative to this location is it’s probably not suitable for FPV drones - potentially too many people (and dogs) around if the weather is nice. However, I don’t fly FPV so not an expert on what’s necessary.
