I will see if I can get a more detailed location but it was quite high up when it lost signal

Yeh the return home was set too high and I tried to correct it but was no use.

Do you reckon it will have just dropped out of the sky or landed slowly?

11% battery it will probably have straight lined for home and landed somewhere en route
Although from 480ft it can drift quite a way.

Have you checked in the fly app last location find my drone ? When mine lost connection and drowned it recorded a short video where I lost it not sure if yours may have done the same which might give you a clue ( if there’s a recording ) other than that the guys helping you now are your best chance of trying to locate it

I did check find my drone, and it said last location, but I checked everywhere it said and it wasnt there, just need to do a fly over to make sure check the places I couldn’t get to I did get a last video off it but it was between half way from start and end point, but wouldn’t find my drone show last location? So if it started returning home it would show that location as last location?
Just wait for the local ad for a “DJI Mini drone, no charger or controller”, that’ll be the one!

Mine did it done a short recording but as yours is different circumstances I’m not sure I honestly can’t answer the question as I’m not a 100% sure but as said mine recorded the last moments automatically within the find my drone ,
I’m not on about doing a video recording yourself , it just kicked automatically and gave me a video of the surrounding area.

When it lost connection it was already trying to go home but was being pushed backwards by the wind at around 9mph
I would be checking this area

I don’t think a Mini 1 would do, but if it did it would be on the phone

It’s hard to say, but it was 500ft up travelling backwards at 9MPH with 11% battery
