Lost my drone during a speed attempt

Jests aside - I will eat my hat if DJI approve this request.

They’ll have the whole of GADC on their backs if they don’t!

You do realise that will printed and pinned to the notice board in DJI cafeteria?

I would imagine so could mine, wherever it is … and then some.

My Phantom 3 Pro and my Mavic Pro were both second hand Chris and no problem with registering them.

Good to know. Thinking about it, I believe the thread related to trying to get Care Refresh added to a second hand drone, not the actual registering.

That man has been following you and the weather for a few weeks. Preemptive ad!

Been hanging out downwind of you with a butterfly net deployed

Thank you for contacting DJI and submitting a claim. We were impressed with the speed it reached and now everyone in R&D is your slave
Since I’m rewarding the fastest Mini 2 ever, we’re giving away a one-off Gold Edition
Thanks DJI

And still under 249g? Wow!

Who would care … something that size in gold won’t fly … but would be worth a few £k!

This is my prediction for how DJI will respond…

感谢您的索赔。 我们 DJI 一直在强大的 GADC 论坛上监控您的功绩,并将尊重您的要求,以表彰您的奉献精神以及您在英勇的搜救任务中对膝盖造成的伤害

If Carling did drones

I soooo hope they honour the claim… Yes they might have cause to reject it but equally, I’d be surprised on a mini if it wasn’t a rubber stamp exercise… Might cost them more in man-hours to fight their ground otherwise… Plus negative press etc.

When you get the next one, wait until another really windy day and repeat the experiment but this time with 150 people from GADC on duty in the same field all looking at their phones to see the live feed from the drone camera… We’ve already established that none of us could spot a mini from more that 200m anyway

Wait until I get the replacement.

Remember next time, out against the wind, in with the wind! :grinning:

I wouldn’t want to be Chris in those circumstances, with a drone coming straight at me at >100mph :stuck_out_tongue:
