Mavic 2 Pro photo quality

Hi all, I’ve just got a Mavic 2 pro, it’s my first drone. I must be doing something wrong with settings as the photos I download via the DJI go 4 app are rubbish quality. I am waiting for an adaptor to download the RAW files from the SD card and I’m hoping things improve dramatically.
Video quality is amazing.
Am I missing some thing or doing something wrong with the settings?
Thanks in advance.

Without sharing an example for us to look at, any reply here would be a completely random and meaningless guess.

For example, maybe it’s because today is Sunday?

Let us see what you can see, you’ll get some solid feedback and response then.

Instead of wild guesses.

  1. Have you taken the gimbal guard off? I’ve heard of people flying with it on thinking it keeps the camera dry.
  2. Have you focussed the camera? It might need focussing if you haven’t used it before. Just touch the screen where you want the focus to be centred on.
It’s like any new camera, practice until you get to know the best settings.

There’s two already

Three now, bugger, 4 now!

Gimbal protector is removed, I have pressed on the screen to focus.

Also first time posting in forum so was just asking a question.

That looks like a low res cache file from the Fly App.

If you tap on it (while the drone is connected) it should download a full size version to your phone/tablet

It’s a Mavic 2 Pro. Go4 app.

Ok, low res cached file from DJI GO

With the controller still connected to the mavic (including phone) go back into your go4 app and download the full HD version.

This can be done on your kitchen table :+1:

That’s the low resolution copy. You need to go into the go4 app and set it to keep the high res. Mine originally kept both versions, it was annoying having to delete the low res ones until I set the cache to keep the high res.
Here’s a couple of photos I took this morning with my MP2 taken straight from iPad

Or you could take the hi-res images off of the memory card?

I don’t think it’s arrived yet, unless he’s on Amazon Prime and is waiting for a delivery today

What adapter?

Do you have a PC? Plug the pro straight in using the USBC supplied with the drone.

Congrats on getting the M2P as a first drone, it’s an outstanding piece of kit. But you need to get to know how best to use it to get the best out of it. As mentioned above just take your data straight from the micro SD. Also make sure you are using a decent and fast writing micro SD, I use the Sandisk Extreme Pro but there are other flavours available.
If you haven’t already, be sure to adjust your gimbal settings if you are going to shoot cinematic video, as they are a little fast and twitchy ‘out of the box’. Lot’s of tutorials on YouTube.
Good luck and enjoy :+1:

Got a Mac so need USB adapter bud
