Mavic Air to PC issue

Hiya

I’m having slightly frustrating issues between my Air and PC. When I connect them together to download footage from internal memory I often get a pop up telling me there is a problem with the drive and windows wan’ts to fix it. Then while cutting and pasting from Air it gets part way through then it appears the Air disconnects and reconnects again, so I have to start over. I do eventually get all my files off but what a pain it is!

I have installed DJI Assistant, just in case that would help, but it didn’t.

I’m running latest Win 10 on HP Zbook Studio G3, and I have no other issues with my USB ports with other devices.

Am I doing something wrong here?

If you have a card reader then the best way is to take the card out of the Air and put it directly in the laptop, if you don’t have a card reader get a micro sd to usb adaptor and do the same.

Could be a dodgy cable. Have you tried another one?

Hi @MertOzkan may be correct, I have had my Air for a while now and able to connect a cable and transfer via a card reader. My card was formatted in the Mavic Air and have had no issues with it yet!!
Hope you get it sorted
Running both Mac and PC (surface Pro - running windows 10 latest version)

This is always important. Always reformat in the Mavic/Phantom/Whatever.

I didn’t know this! I’ve always formatted my cards from my pc - but i do get regular message about need to fix the card when i first go to add new picts - i’ll try formatting in the drone … seems awkward step to have to remember to do …but worth a try

I haven’t got a card in there though, it’s the internal 8gb I have to keep fixing

Once all the data is off the internal memory, though, you can still re-format - I’m certain.

I always get the error message and I just cancel and ignore it - never had any issues.

I suspect there may be slight differences in the way the drive is partioned that Windows interprets as an error

I’ve sorted this by buying a better quality cable
