Micro SD Card from Mini to Mini 2

Maybe a daft question but…

Can I just put my current Micro SD Card from my Mini straight into the Mini 2? Will it attempt to format it or just carry on as before and my old Mini videos and pictures will remain intact?

I have an SD Reader on the way but may have an opportunity to get out for the first time with the Mini 2 in the morning.

If you don’t need anything that’s on the SD card, I’d recommend formatting it once it’s in the Mini 2.

Nothing scientific behind that, but it’ll freshen everything up for the new drone :slight_smile:

Just one thing to bare in mind, what class speed rating your SD card is.
As the Mini 2 can shot 4K video it requires a card with a fast enough write speed. If you’re card was just capable of 2.7k max res of the Mini 1, it would struggle at 4K.
Just check the address card specs to be sure :+1:

Then again if I take a card used in my M2P and put it in my M2, the M2 won’t power up - I pop the card and it’s fine.
I keep separate cards now for each.
