Mini 3 flipped

mini 3 flipped in flight would could have happened ? Lucky nothing broke

Is this when you were using the aftermarket props? With regards to your other post about them, I’m wondering if you had them on the correct arms.

Hi no I have had the after market ones on for 4weeks no issues think there called Airscrew stealth , I will put the original ones on today take it out see if it’s playing up any ideas whats happend?

@Emss, it would be really useful if you could share the Airdata logs for this issue, it’ll help people provide you with a more detailed answer based on what actually happened.

If you’re not familiar with Airdata it’s an independent platform that allows you to aggregate your flight records and it also allows you to share logs with other people.

Here’s a guide on how to upload your flight logs to their web site / app:

Setting up Direct DJI Sync

Once your logs are visible in Airdata you can use this guide to share the log(s) in question:

Once you’ve created the share on the Airdata web site simply reply here and paste the URL, someone will then take a closer look for you.

The aircraft logged side and forward shock, possible collision several times after 14 seconds of flight time, once you reached 110 feet.

It also logs a strong wind warning, but the weather logs show wind was only 8.7 mph from the north east. So I doubt it could be that.

I would have suggested a bird strike if it is was a one-off, but the side and forward shock occured 6 times.

Check the logs from previous flights with the after market props see if there is any other occurrence

Thanks so do you think it was a malfunction or something ? I am going to send back to DJI today under warranty I do have DJI care also but DJI said use under warranty it also started saying gimble overload today as I tried it but wasn’t want take the risk

Personally, I would try it with the original props first.

And if you do send it back to DJI, I would remove the Master Airscrew props first and don’t mention them to DJI.

Over/under tightened props?, could be anything

But if the only thing you have done (if you haven’t bumped into anything) is change the props then I would start with that and work backwards

Props on wrong would make it flip. But to be fair, it would normally happen as soon as you try to take off.

You switching it in to Sports Mode just three seconds after taking off will have that effect

I notice it was sea side, did you take off from the beach? Could muck have gotten into motors? Have you tried spinning them afterwards & do they feel free?

No didn’t take of from the sand it crashed into the sand sand did go all over it and the gimbal but did check see if they was a bit gritty turning them but they was free and smooth

Hi @Emss , How did this get resolved with DJI?

I have today sent my mini 4 pro to them, under warranty, after it fell out of the sky yesterday. The airdata logs showed initially “motor is blocked. stuck motor”.
