@MPPjockey this cruise ship has been visiting the Tyne recently , I’m tempted to catch a photo as it leaves the mouth of the Tyne on its next visit but must say you look like you have got the knack of ship photography Gary well done …Alan

Very kind of you Alan, thanks. It took a bit of practice (and nerve!) to get lower and lower but it seems to be paying off.
You should make the effort to see her, a very nice looking ship indeed.
All the best

Bit of confusion with arrival date for this visit but I don’t think the weather will be on my side fingers crossed it arrives on Thursday and the weather is glorious

Nice ship! Let’s hope the weather improves :crossed_fingers:

@MPPjockey it’s been and gone …newspaper quoted arrival Thursday but also said due here and leave same day Wednesday …just saw it leaving after a torrential downpour/thunderstorm …looked to be heading north

Ah drat…that’s happened to me before, frustrating :rage:

@MPPjockey I think with your skills you would have got fantastic shots there was a tug escorting it down the river with a water canon

Looks like a great spot to film from, might have to get myself up there next time something tasty comes in!

@MPPjockey that media photo is on the north side I’m on the south side of the river

The Marella Explorer is in the port of Tyne today , had a walk down the Riverside to check the possibility of a flight when it leaves about 5pm but the wind was very gusty not going to chance it :frowning:…my time will come .
