Hi, I’ve recently bought a Dji Mini 3 Pro after watching a bunch of YouTube channels/videos but not been out with it yet. Other than work comittments, I’ve just been a little apprehensive with the likes of…
locations, wind speeds, and other usual points for new operators.
I’ve got the “UAV Forecast” & “Drones Assist” apps etc but don’t fully understand them yet
I think my biggest fear is with locations. I understand NFZs but worried about the public interfering
Anyway, I’m sure a lot of you will be able to guide me

Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too 
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Welcome, I am in the same boat as you mate. Brand new to it all with the same worries. I think you will find lots of support and guidance (if you want it of course) on here. I have been surprised at how many people are into the drone scene and they have all been where we are now. The members here really seem to look to give help with advice and tips. I look forward to seeing your videos and images when you get out and about.

Welcome Ian. Dont worry about NFZs too much just steer clear of FRZs fill in the Drone Assist where I can fly form with your model of drone and it will give you the gen. Also if you use Drone Scene you can use the Council Authority option for a FOI request by Stephen Hawkins to find any related bylaws. Sounds complicated but once you do it a couple of times it becomes second nature.
