I will often just flick the ‘DJI Geo Zones’ layer on, if I am going to an area I have not been to before, just to see if they have some random restriction set up where I am planning to fly. If they have, then you may not even be able to take off. If there is a restriction, then you can sort out the unlock before you get to site.

I use AA only when travelling or researching for places to fly abroad as DS is UK only. Even then AA seems flawed ie in Italy D-Flight is the only accurate tool (I flew in a FRZ that was not identified accurately in AA) and Malta has a unique reference through their CAD. DS is my only reference (apart from the NT’s map reference) in the UK though, accurate and user friendly IMO.
