When I used to use RTH a lot, this would often catch me out when doing sunrise / sunsets, for that very reason, the sun is so low in the sky (especially at this time of year) it’s pointing directly in to the forward vision sensors and it seriously confuses them.
A quick flick to Sport Mode and a manual flight home is the quickest and easiest cure.
Or fly backwards 
this is what i do to get it beeping at me… I bring it in and give the sensors a clean…
Tried to update, downloaded fine but then the install got to 3% and stopped “installation failed” message came up
tried turning everything off and on a couple of times but still no joy. Any ideas? Can I delete the downloaded files from my iPhone and download again?
