Steve here from Cardiff. As the title says I just won a drone. Entered a competition on Revcomps and was lucky to win. Drone is arriving tomorrow or Wednesday so i’m like a 6yr old waiting for Santa.
I’ve never flown one before so i’ve got a lot to learn and have been devouring youtube videos like a mad-man. The one I won has the fancy screen on the controller but it’s not the flymore edition so i’ve just shelled out on 2 extra batteries, a charging hub, 2 sd cards, a set of filters etc etc.

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.
There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.

Yay, someone else from the 'Diff: welcome from the mean inner-city streets of Roath, and congratulations on your win! I’d love a Mini 4 Pro (but can’t afford one!) and I’m sure you’ll mastr it easily. You’ve made a good move here; help and advice from a friendly bunch, probably better for a newbie than too much internet research which is likely to turn up conflciting advice.
‘Auditor’ videos are very informative if you want to learn exactly and in detail what not to do and how not to behave when you are flying your drone. Next advice from me is to get DJI’s ‘Care Refresh’, which will stop you worrying overly about crashing and damage.
