Ten years or so ago I was into flying RC model aircraft but other things got in the way of the hobby and I left it behind. I’ve got time on my hands again now though and wanting to get back into it I started to look at RC flying again and was amazed at the massive growth of hobby drones since back then. So though I probably still have a bit of joy stick muscle memory left from my RC plane days, I thought I’d better start with a basic beginner’s drone and went with the DEERC D10. I’m still getting used to flying it in some open fields owned by a friend but I know there are some fantastic drone flying areas around me and I can’t wait to get out there when I feel I’m competent enough. I’m really pleased to have found Drone Club and look forward to learning all about my new hobby here.

Thanks for the welcomes. I’m looking forward to coming in here from time to time to learn about my new hobby. I’m on the south coast of Cornwall not far from Penzance. I have a small fishing boat which I take out to sea on nice days in summer and I might try taking the drone out too come the time.
