@notveryprettyboy is the plug size on this box the same size as the SkyZones or would it need changing/adaptor ??
Yeah it’s the same
I believe it’s the same size. I use the same box with both my Flysight goggles, and my Attitude V1’s when I’m feeling retro .
I’m going to extend the power lead on mine and mount it on the rear of the head-strap as it tends to pull the goggles down when mounted on the side. I’ve tried tightening the strap but I end up seeing things that aren’t really there as the blood flow around my melon becomes restricted.
Thanks guys. You’ve all been very helpful.
Goggles ordered last night after a few beers.
Tried on some similar at the local park yesterday.
Next upgrades now
I’m the same with my pain meds. You start to feel all groovy and retail therapy seems to be the best course of action.
The biggest problem I have is that every purchase I make leads to buying more that I’ve not considered.
I wont bother popping by Thursday then
It’s really up to you. I’ve ordered from banggood’s UK warehouse so they may or maynot be here by then.
Always happy for an excuse to go fly though!
Cool I’ll see what the weather is like on the day
Have goggles but can’t seem to get my eyes to focus and bring them in to one view.
I don’t wear glasses and read unaided right now without issue.
Although now wondering if i need some.
Tried the stock goggles and that seems blurred slightly but i thought that was down to a poor camera / goggles.
I’ll try some cheap readers tomorrow and see what that does
Will you not wait on @notveryprettyboy good gesture and maybe there be a pair suit your focus if not maybe help with Focus fixer holders.
I pm’d him. I was coming down from Aberdeen to Coventry, but it was too late to do any flying. And I was fucked. 7hrs work then 7+ hours drive. That bloody wind in Scotland! Couldn’t keep my van straight.
I tried some similar and they were fine.
These were fine initially but then weren’t.
I’ve got a few ideas and yes will travel to try others when commitments allow.
Having made the investment I’d like to try and make these work as they’re very nice goggles.
I bought some proper lenses, based on my prescription, from https://rho-lens.com/
However before I purchased my goggles my mate lent me his for a week, he had cut down some lenses from cheapo reading glasses and they worked really well, maybe, dare I say it, better than the expensive ones I bought from RHO.
I think it’s been said before but buying goggles needs some research, get an up to date eye prescription, try different styles, for more than just ten minutes. eyesight is important and these goggles cost a reasonable amount of money so need to spend it wisely
Cheers
Steve
Yeah, I rushed in to it. Should have listened and will learn … maybe.
Good thing is I like the goggles and find them comfortable- much more than the stock ones.
Just need to get my eyeballs sorted now.
I’ll try some readers and have an appointment booked in with the opticians next week to see what’s going on.
Never had glasses but I guess the 25 years of working on a computer may not have helped
Obvious question and you probably have already but just incase, have you adjusted the screen alignment to your eyes using the sliders on the bottom of the goggles?
Yes, I’ve adjusted them so that it brings them in closer.
That allows me to bring the screen in to one screen if that makes sense but its then blurred.
I think its my eyes tbh. I have to really almost stare at them to bring them in to one screen but i can clearly see two clear screens side by side as if each eye is clear
How blurry are we talking Howard? As you know I’m a complete beginner too and by no means an expert but my fatshark HDO’s are a tad blurry, as in they aren’t like full HD quality due to the camera quality etc
You’d be surprised at how unsymmetrical our faces actually are, or maybe I just have a strange face.
With different makes of goggles I’ve always had to adjust the IPD the same, meaning for the best image I move the left screen left, and the right screen left but not as much as the left screen.
My daily driver goggles are the Flysight Falcon FG02’s which have independent IPD adjustment for each eye. The first release of these goggles, the FG01’s, had both screens on one slider and many people complained they couldn’t get a clear image.
If I’m trying new goggles out I will close my right eye and adjust the IPD of the left eye for a clear image. Then with both eyes open I will adjust the right IPD slider for the best overall image. For the record I am long sighted and unable to focus clearly on anything closer than three feet.
They just feel out of focus slightly.
I can’t read the hud clearly but can see what’s happening if that makes sense
