The committee are all at our second Big Meet of the year so I’ll copy and paste the welcome bit:

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the trophyChallenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.

There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the trophyChallenges category for more information.

We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the person_raising_hand:t2Questions & Answers category.

Our Bronze Members are able to enjoy a lot of great services for free but our Silver and Gold Members are eligible for a whole lot more! Read all the details about our Membership Benefits?

And finally, if you are new to drones and wondering what it’s all about, have a look at Resources for a beginner.

Welcome once again!

It will be worth your while joining the local group Region - south east - Grey Arrows Drone Club UK so you can get notified about local meets.

I’m on Hayling myself, just about to take the dog out to help me with testing my repaired Mini 2

Hey Chris,

Welcome to the club.

I’m a few miles north of Portsmouth and look forward to meeting up at some point.

I’m still fairly new here myself, but have already been on a couple of the South-East Meet ups (Hayling Island & Seaford in Sussex), there was a Havant one recently too that I couldn’t make. I highly recommend them, fun afternoon out with like minded, friendly and supportive flyers. It’s a great introduction to drone flying and a real confidence booster.

Have fun and no doubt see you soon.

Bart

Hi from sunny Blackpool

Hi and welcome to GADC :waving_hand:

Hey Chris @badcompany Welcome to GADC I’m not far from you, as the crow flies at least, as I live and fly in Pompey.

Those of us along this stretch of the coast have regular regional ‘meet ups’ which you would probably enjoy and, most probably, benefit from. Keep an eye out for our next meet up and consider coming along to join in the fun and shenanigans.
