Thank you for allowing me to join the club. I’m a retired male from Victoria, Australia and have been flying drones for 6 years but to be perfectly honest it’s pretty restricted over here to where you can fly legally. I’ve recently purchased the DJI Mini 4 Pro specifically for travel due to its lower restriction category. In 5 days time (April 2024) I’m heading to Iceland then swinging around to the UK to catch up with family and friends. While I’m in UK I’m walking The Cumbria Way. So I’m hoping I get a few days in Iceland where the wind won’t blow us off the planet and it stops raining in England so I can get the mini up in the air. I’ve registered to operate and fly the drone with CAA and I’m very pleased to have found this group as a resource. We don’t have anything as extensive in Aus.

Hi Denti
Welcome and i hope you get some great footage on your travels, i hope you bring us all some dry weather with you when your in the uk because boy oh boy am i sick of all this wet weather.
Happy and safe travels
@Skidoo thank you. The weather in Iceland is pretty grim at the moment as well so I’m hoping it dries out before I get to the Lake District. But I do have to warn you, I have a long history of bringing rain along with me on my holidays.
Oh know thats not what you should be saying, i can now inform you your trip to the lake district is going to be filled with warm and windless flying days, bring an windproof umbrella though just in case im wrong
