Hi, I’m a new member from Crewe, Cheshire. Greetings to all existing and new members.
I’ve recently purchased my first drone, a DJI Mini 3 Pro and have had a small test flight in my back garden.
I plan to go to some scenic rural spots over the next few weeks, to gain more experience of flying and using the different video and photo settings. My aim is to get enough experience before taking the drone with me on my holidays abroad.

Hi Paul, welcome to Grey Arrows, I’m not too far North of you, grew up in Biddulph and now on the edge of Manchester… There is a NW Meet up group on here, and lots of info in the map as to where folks have flown… Mow Cop, Old Man O’Mow, Biddulph Grange and Chatterly Whitfield Colliery are all near you, I flew then in June
Looking forward to eeing your photos / videos

Any good flying places you know of? I use DroneScene to pick places of interest. I’ve also been using Google maps, but tend to end up with places I can’t fly at, but can video.
To be honest m8 i fly my drone almost anywhere theres not really any limits on under 250g regardless of what people think … i went one tine to fly over mow cop and mow cop is no fly i didnt know that till someone said y cant fly that here i just went on the path outside thats public .
But for peace purposes i dont take the michael ever
I just find a nice open space and set her off. Country lanes are really good for distance and good views . Winsford and northwich habe some really good places to fly crewe has a few

I was flying a phantom once down a lane over some lakes and some old dear turned up proper moaning granted there loud but there was notning around for miles and i pointed out i was far away from any persons or land but she still moaned i did bring it down after the battery went flat i didnt put another one in . What i did do was put the mini 2 up instead. It was but quiter . But honestly theres not many places u cant fly 250g drone .
From my front door u can get to the very edge of crewe . So i cant walk very good so if my mrs is in work i just keep close by go to my back field from there i can get to the retail park and the bt tower place … or go mclaren park from there u can almost cover crewe .
