New Member from Haydock

Hello. I’ve just signed up to Grey Arrows. I,ve been flying drones for a few years now, having started with a second hand DJI Phantom 3. I currently have a Mavic Pro Platinum that doesn’t get out much and a Mini 4 Pro that I take with me most places. I have an A2 C of C that expires in January and I’m wondering if it’s worth renewing as the Mavic hasn’t flown for a few years now.
Anyway, hello everyone and I look forward to chatting with you soon.

Kev.

Ì was a pupil at St Joseph’s seminary between 1979 and 1981. I’d not gone back there until a few years ago when I took my drone. It’s a shame that fabulous building has been left to rot the way it has. I got some decent footage of the place though.
We’re off in the camper today heading towards Anglesea, so I’m tempted to go for Gold and access the map details

The seminary is a fantastic building.

How did you get on with the drone over that way? Lots of members have reported signal issues, as if they’re using some kind of security jamming device

The first time I went, I asked the security guard if it was OK to have a wander around. He was great, told me as long as I didn’t try to get inside it would be fine. So I flew from the lawn at the side of the main building.
The next time it was all fenced off and this guard told me I couldn’t fly as I was on private land. It’s a while since my last visit, but I flew from the woodland area at the back of the farm. (Road runs up on the edge of the college wall heading towards Roby Mill). Again, I got some cracking footage from there
