New to drones and just picked up a cheap used Mavic Mini to get started, figured it’s best to start cheap and crash that before getting something more expensive.
Mostly aiming to use it to supplement normal photography but seems like it’ll be handy to explore from the air too!

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.
There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.

Definitely caught the bug after a few goes, I did notice some connection problems with my Mini 1 today though even when it was in a wide open space directly above me so I’m going to see about sending it back to MBP!
Eyeing up a Neo 2 now so just waiting for the return to be accepted before I order that!
I have a Neo 2 and love it. It is very easy to fly, and while not as fast as the bigger drones, it isn’t slow either. I mainly use mine to learn how to fly close to things and though things!
It seems like it could be quite fun, my main idea was to capture landscapes and explore from the sky but the follow modes and being able to get a lot closer to things definitely seem interesting!
Seems like an all round decent package for starting out.
Below are three videos I took recently. The first two are me messing around getting used to flying through small areas. I am training myself so in time I can go through old buildings as in the windows and navigate everywhere. The 3rd video is from Bodmin in Cornwall.
I was slow for the first two bins, but then sped up for the 3rd one.
