I have always had an interest in Drones and this Christmas decided to treat myself to a DJI Mini 3 Pro.
I would like to learn to take some cinematic footage around the Slough areas and any other areas of interest. As I plan on making this one of my main hobbies, I am happy to meet up with others to explore and find some interesting areas of interest.

I did go out just after my first post to fly the drone by Jubilee river in Taplow, I live only 5 mins away from there.
Only flew for around 15 mins due to rain setting in , flew to 10m high to get used to the drone, being my first real flight. My regret was that I didnāt fly higher as I look at the footage. I will however post to youtube and post a link later.
I look forward to becoming an active member within this community.
@BudgieUK, I think also, I am an anxious person. Which doesnāt help. So worried someone was going to call the Police, even though I am registered and have insurance.
As I fly more and can prove I am āentitledā and am playing by the rules, I guess the confidence levels will improve
Iāve not really had any major problems with āKarensā in person. A few online⦠But yes, it takes a while to not have that guilty, looking over your shoulder feeling - like you get when youāre walking through the green channel at Customs, even when youāve genuinely got nothing to declareā¦
I was the same ā¦. I found a local site, away from people, and early mornings I hardly ever saw anyone.
As the weeks went by, and I realised that I was flying more intuitively, then I gradually moved to more public places.
I have never yet had anyone complain about what I am doing, but have had quite a few conversations with people who are interested in the drone.
Be confident in the rules ā¦. Know that you are not in a FRZ (flight restriction zone) and you are ready to respond if you do have anyone moaning at you.
