New member from the Portsmouth area

Saying hi as I’m new to drone use for photography and video. Have for years been mainly using DSLR and Mirrorless cameras, and have decided to try out using a drone as well.
Got myself the DJI Mini 2 and have taken it out a couple of times for far and have enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting. The freedom and the more creative ways of using the drone to take images.
Curious if anyone can point me towards any Drone clubs that might be in the area, as I’ll like to learn more as time goes on and find new areas to explore and photograph.

Mini 2 is a great choice being a very capable and popular drone and of course legal to fly almost anywhere. :+1: :+1: :+1:

Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too :+1:t2:

We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the #questions-and-answers category.

Thanks for the replies given.
Would be fun to meet up with others locally and learn from them.
Do love boats and ships. Have a few ideas I would love to try out in Portsmouth, such as with the Hovercraft in the future.

Like to meet up someday and chat and drone fly with you. And pick your brains about good areas to drone fly in the local area. Only been to two places for far. Hurst Spit and down Hillhead way.
