New flyer dipping my toes in. I’ve got a 2nd hand DJI mini 2 and intend to use it for images mainly. Coming from a DSLR, 12MP is a blast from the past but enough to learn on!
I’ve already dabbled in orthomosaics for Google Earth Pro image overlays (as I’m in a poor area for GE satellite images).
I intend to learn more about videos and editing as well the potential for using the drone for elevation mapping as there are a few sites near me which have potential according to less detailed LiDAR maps available.

@hbeevers, welcome to GADC. I’m a fairly new member myself and although I haven’t done an introduction message like this, I was fortunate enough to find a local group who were very welcoming. At my 1st meeting I didn’t even own a drone but wanted to get more info. Needless to say I bought one shortly after. I hope that your introduction enables you to locate a local group to help ease those early tensions about flying.
