New Member in Towcester

Hi, I am new to flying drones, I just have purchased an ‘Eonvy Air+ Pro Max with GPS’, ultimately, I want to take aerial photos and extension of my interest in photography.

To begin with I just want to get used to flying the drone, so I’m looking for a suitable place to do so near to or in my home town of Towcester, the water meadows are shown on the ‘Dronescene’ map so I guess I’ll start there, but I found it difficult to locate any other suitable places.

Can anyone suggest any good places the fly near me please?

Thanks

Hi @alan_mcnerney and welcome to Grey Arrows :wave:t2:

If you zoom out a couple of notches on Drone Scene there are loads of recommended places to fly within an eight mile radios of Towcester

Wondering whether you can fly a particular model of drone under particular circumstances? Check out Good 2 Go where you’ll soon find the answer

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.

There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.

We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the Questions & Answers category.

Good Afternoon Alan! And welcome to the Forum!

I have the same Eonvy as you, I like it, it’s a good place to start, it just doesn’t like the wind! As a tip, always fly into the wind if you can, then if it gets too strong, it’s easier to return home. However, you should always be aware of the weather and in particular the wind.
