New pilot in Dorset

Hi all , just purchased my first proper drone , Potensic Atom 3 Axis , I had a ‘toy drone’ prior to this which I only flew 4 times before it stopped working, it did however give me a taste for drones. Not flown the Atom yet as still getting my head around all the tech stored within it . Once I’m confident with the controls etc of the drone I’ll be looking to fly in and around Bournemouth and beyond but in a safe and legal way . I’m hoping that the Drone Scene mapping service and layers available will help with this .

Welcome Terry. If you’re Bournemouth way, feel free to give me a shout and happy to meet up to fly somewhere around town (based near Triangle myself).

I’ve been flying a while now including several flights in Bournemouth itself (in a safe and legal way) so happy to answer questions and give some guidance; I know the first few proper flights can be nerve wracking.

Thanks for the welcome. I live not too far from you near Eastcliff area . Yes it is quite daunting at first , this is totally different ball game to the toy drone I had last year. Yes would be great to meet up at some point , I’m retired so fairly flexible however I’m committed two or three days each on different things . When would be good for you to meet up ?
