New to drones, Staffordshire

Hi everyone,
I have just bought a DJI MINI 2 SE fly more combo as my first drone. I have watched countless videos and read lots of info about the subject but not yet taken flight. Anyone near to Wolverhampton/ South Staffs on here?

Hi Colin,

Wolverhampton side of Birminham Calling. If you want to meet up some time we can do so. I am also helping a friend who has also just bougth a DJI Mini 2 SE who had to get a phone for it and we are arranging a date to get that working. Maybe we could all meet up and you can both take your first flights. Happy to help where we can.

Hi There @, I am in the same boat as you, I joined yesterday. had my drone about a week but the weather and other commitments have stopped me playing with it. I have flown other drones but not my new one and I am a bit nervous to take the first flight with it.

If you need somebody to hold your hand for your first few flights, drop me an email and I’ll come out with you or you can come over to Walsall to fly (no policies against drones over here).

I’m on the Staffordshire/Telford Wrekin Border. Recently bought a Dji M4P. Not flown it yet with weather and trying to find a good spot to learn.
Living out in the countryside you realise how few open public spaces there are to practice flying. Every field is cultivated or has livestock. There is a big NFZ around Newport A41 area. The one good open area nearby is an SSI which comes under Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Natrual England (they have a no fly policy from their land).
I want a big field U can stand in and fly the drone around you.
