Hi all , just joined this group after treating myself to DJI mini 5 pro . With the weather not had a chance to get out yet , live in west wales if anyone knows of any local groups , clubs or indiv8duals out they who could give me some advice . Im looking at lots of videos on line .

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.
There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the Questions & Answers category.

Sadly, we in Wales have to live with more rain and wind than the norm. You didn’t say where in West Wales you are but I was in Pembrokeshire last October when Storm Amy hit and gave up any hope of flying. Though I did get a few flights around Strumble Head, Fishguard and a few of the smaller locations south of the lighthouse.
FWIW - I’m in Bridgend and like most here happy to advise if/when I/we can but the best advice I have is “just get out and fly”… when the weather allows 
Failing that. pop over to the DroneScene page and filter by members and then zoom in to your area.

@stubbyd diolch , im Aberystwyth . Got a beautiful coast line were i am . Im looking forward to getting out they soon and Dinas reservoir. Is they 1 setting you would reccomend doing before 1st flight ?

I only have the Mini 3 Pro but capabilities, camera aside, are pretty much similar.
It’s bene a while since I first flew, so the only advice I have is get out there and get flying when the weather allows. I might add, as a beginner just ensure you haven’t knocked your controller into sports mode!
