New to the club with a Potensic Atom

I bought the Atom fly pack with a good discount just days before the release of the Atom 2, which explains the discount!
Nevertheless I’m new to drone piloting and it does everything I want so happy with the purchase at the price.
I have crashed it several times, twice in water (fresh water thankfully, but fully submerged for several minutes before I found it), three times in trees (once when the battery got too low and it automatically ascended). But despite a broken arm which superglue and insulation tape seems to have sorted, it has resurrected each time and I haven’t lost one blade yet. Remarkably robust which I hope to improve in flying to reduce the ‘testing’ of its construction. Still battling through the flying nerves, but a short flight as often as possible is good learning .

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.

There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.

Thanks for all the welcome notes, though I wasn’t quite as new as I came across. Nevertheless, I’m in Highland: a beautiful place to fly and yet terrifying every time I take it near water, cliffs, forests… At least I don’t have too many crowds or residential areas to worry about!
