Hi all, i am fairly new to the drone world and would really appreciate some advice on where to fly my Mavic Air 2 in the Taunton area

Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too :+1:t2:

We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Hi guys, thanks for the welcome, i have up till now been flying on the Quantocks, it is stunning up there, but was thinking of finding somewhere a bit closer, with mine being an A2 transitional drone so not near residential areas etc. Are any of the beaches in Somerset allowed?

Hi, I have flown on Weston Super Mare beach before - nice and spacious. You can generally fly in Crown foreshore (the area between high and low tides), but in your area obviously avoid Hinckley Point and wildlife areas. The Dronescene website should be the place to check for recommended places, and I see there are a couple of places north of Taunton and over to Minehead as well.

Welcome buddy, my brother fly’s his Mavic 3 and what ever else he has around Taunton. Goto Watchet, Blue Anchor up on to Exmoor. Go down the canal in Town or up Trull.
