Hi and welcome to GADC :+1:

Hey, I do not own anything, all I have done is briefly read some regulations on how to fly safely.
I was seeking info on what would be an ideal first drone to go for etc, no real budget, just a fairly decent all-rounder beginner.
Many thanks
John

Hi jt1020 welcome to gadc

hey @JT1020 I’m just along the road near Rait/Balbeggie, welcome to the club :+1:
Something like THIS is a really good start, and being sold by one of our members @BudgieUK . If you want to try a mini 2 out before you spend the cash, give me a shout and we can met up somewhere. We’re only 20 mins apart so easy to arrange, depending on weather of course!!!

As a newbie myself I suggest you have a look at Geeksvana U-Tube site. Lots of info regarding rules, regulations etc.

Hey that’s great! Many thanks for that :flying_saucer::v:t3:

Hi Darren,
Yep Rait/Balbeggie just 20-30mins along the road which is perfect. That is much appreciated on offering to help out which is what I’m looking for. I’d love for you to show me what you have and its capabilities etc. like i mentioned I’ve not taken control of a drone before so the last thing i want is to damage anyone’s equipment! I’ve had 3 x Electric helicopters but still fun. I’m away to London for a week at the end of this month but if you are free anytime in the first half of this year then that’s be awesome :ok_hand:t3:

Many thanks @Jhdee :+1:t3: what do you fly yourself?

I’ve got a DJI Mini 3 Pro which does most of the work - can’t go wrong with a sub 250 gram drone as you can fly them almost anywhere. I’ve also got a Mavic 3 Pro and a Parrot Anafi Thermal which I use for SAR flights for lost dogs - which takes up most of my flying time :man_shrugging:t2::+1:
