Newbie from Edinburgh

Hi Grey Arrows Community,
Having spent quite a lot of time over the last month or so poring over YouTube videos of superb drone footage, and forecasts of the next latest and greatest drone just about to be released, I took the plunge and bought a DJI Mini 2 last week. With decent weather today, I nervously took to the air and performed three short flights in some nice open land. Apart from the schoolboy error of forgetting to press the video record button first time out, I had a great time and still have a working drone!
An awful lot to learn, but I think I am hooked. I was surprised (and a bit concerned) at the speed this little drone reached even in Normal mode, particularly when it shot up into the sky when I enabled Return to Home with an ultra-cautious RTH altitude of 100m set. As I said, a lot to learn.
I plan to glean as much intelligence as possible from this website, so please bear with me if my name pops up with some typical newbie questions.

Well done on the first flight, it’s usually the hardest one, slowly slowly catchy monkey
