Hi. Newbie from Kernow. So new I dont even have a drone. Looking for suggestions on a drone for general use under 250 g. I do travel abroad alot and realise I have missed amazing opportunities to get some decent views of places from above. Am going to Corfu in August. Anyone got any tips as to what certs or documents I will need to legally fly in their airspace. I would like some footage of Corfu old town and the coastline. Cheers in advance.

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.
There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.

I recently joined. Looking at the map I do not see any airspace avoidance or restricted airspace. I can see where members live. Am I doing something wrong please?

Hi @Typhoontoday - welcome to GADC
Hi @Typhoontoday and welcome aboard the GADC community
Hi from sunny Blackpool
Welcome @Typhoontoday
Imho - DJI mini 4 pro if in budget, or DJI flip is cheaper with decent camera - although different opinions on that drone, or even DJI neo if camera is good enough for you. Wind tolerance lower on the last 2 but plenty of youtube videos for reviews/comparisons
Amazon are doing a deal atm for the DJI mini 4K with 2 batteries at £279 so may be worth a look thats what I got only issue is no collision detection but that just means you need to learn how to fly better so for me as a newbie thats a good thing!
You need to zoom in on the map to see such things
Welcome to the club!
Welcome to GADC, I’m not particularly experienced at the moment, but loving my Mini 3 Pro, some good second hand deals around, I also have a Neo which is great fun, camera is not as good as the Mini, but good enough if you pick your shots.
Cheers for this update
Cheers for this
