Hi. My name is Dale. Been flying RC Helicopters and planes for a while. Got into drones last year. First one was a Holy Stone HS175D. It was ok for a beginner but I wanted to take videos and pictures. Unfortunately it didn’t have a gimble so they were always shakey. So this year I got the DJI Mini 4 Pro. Best upgrade I did.
I’m going to use it to check my roof tiles and guttering but also at car shows. It will be used a lot when I do the NC500 in August 2025.
I will always try to help where I can but I’m also new to the drone scene so I’m also still learning.

If you were to ask me what the most outright awesome piece of kit I own is, the answer would not be my iPhone, brilliant though that is to a level unimaginable only a quarter-century ago, or even my drone, but the 3-axis gimbal on my DJI drone. It is an exquisiterly engineered thing, and the way it can hold the camera perfectly steadily at 400’ in a gusty Force 5 wind is pretty impressive. I’m not especially techy, and easily impressed, but this thing is in a different league!
