Hello from Harrow,
As Harrow parks are fine to take off and land from, my local favourites are Headstone Manor Park and Churchfields & The Grove Open Space on Harrow Hill.

Welcome @DroneDawg to the group
Hello …
Welcome to the GADC
Hi
I’ld offer a word of caution flying around the Grove.
Having managed a shop close by for a number of years I know that area all too well.
I still plan on a visit to the Pinner village gardens at some point
So Pinner Village Gardens is not restricted?
I’ld class that as debatable as so many places are.
It falls under Harrow in terms of park byelaws.
IIRC they dont mention drones specifically, just a reference to ‘excessive noise’
The council when asked directly gave the response.
“There is a ‘no drones’ policy in parks which relates to issues of noise and other nuisance, privacy and public safety.”
Anecdotally, I’ve wandered up to parked police, the actual Met and asked. They were more interested in having a go than telling me to stop.
Also there are no signs specifically forbidding drones anywhere that i’ve been so far.
Personally, I fly in Harrow parks.
I’ve yet to be challenged, even flying bigger drones.
Hi,
As you say while Harrow Council may have a “policy”, there is nothing in the byelaws, unsurprisingly as date from 1956!
Why do advise against the Grove Open Space? I have never had any trouble there and there are usually not many people there. It does offer views of the Hill and the town centre.
Peter
Hi Peter,
It’s not so much anything against the area. As you say it has many nice views within Vlos but I’ld be wary about certain ‘groups’ of younguns that use that area to inhale things they shouldn’t along with all the phone snatching that goes on in the actual town centre.
Its more of a ‘be on guard’ kinda thing for people not familar with the area.
Where is the Grove, do you have co-ordinates
