Just obtained my CAA Operator & Flyer ID’s & Insurance through Gold Membership to this site. Located just outside Norwich, Norfolk. Looking to soon get a DJI Drone as a bit of outdoor fun for this retiree! Was going for the Mini 4 Pro but see a Mini 5 Pro is ‘threatened’ for release soon so, will probably hold off till release. However, as a NEW drone flyer, if any local drone flyers would like to meet up for a beer & a chat, to educate me, that might be great. Cheers!

Flying a drone is great fun but sometimes you feel the need to have a purpose for doing so and the Challenges category provides some great reasons for you to fly.
There are regular challenges which are open to all, that attract members of all abilities. Support, advice and constructive criticism is freely available; still photography, video and the techniques for editing both are involved in the challenges. Suggestions, for subjects or for complete challenges, are always welcome - take a look in the Challenges category for more information.
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the Questions & Answers category.
And finally, if you are new to drones and wondering what it’s all about, have a look at Resources for a beginner.

Essentially because rumour has it that the Mini 5 Pro may have twice the flight time on each battery? Which would be a great improvment; but who knows for sure till it is actually released? Though one has to balance that with the discounts currently available for the Mini 4 Pro I guess

And the second hand market will be full of hardly flown 4 pro combos (such is the pull of the ‘all the gear’ brigade)

Hi Tony , there are lots of members in and around Norwich , all a helpful bunch , I’m Norwich airport side about 7 miles out if you need any advise , I have the drones but sadly not flying at the moment as recovering from broken leg / hip so although 8 months on recovery is slow but I am mobile and can drive .

Keen to talk to people who have flown the area for a while; get the ‘lay of the land’, so to speak. Last thing I’d want to do is screw things up for others by doing something dumb when I start
