Newbie to Drone-world. - West Norfolk

Hi,
I’m a hobbyist / enthusiast photographer who is considering getting a drone to expand my photography interests and I saw a post about this group on the Olympus e-users forum as I use an Olympus OM-1 camera and various PRO lenses.
I don’t know where to start with my journey into drones and photography, hence signing up with this group.
I live in west Norfolk and wondered if there was anyone fairly local to me who could help me with a drone demo and advice on all things drone / photography related.
Looking forward to some replies,
Many thanks,
Ian.

Hi Ian, welcome from the Black Country

Hi Hotrodspike,
With a name like that are you into hotrods and kustoms by any chance ?

Hi from a life long Boyd Coddington fan

Me too, love his detailing and ‘look’, plus many other builders like him .I was fortunate to meet Norm Grabowski in his Caddy powered tudor tub, driven 'round the Oklahoma NSRA Nats and introduced to many of his friends as the ‘Cockeney’ !
I scratch built my own steel '29 model A roadster pickup a few years back when I was a member of Surrey Street Rodders.

Welcome Ian, glad you made it here. I’m sure someone local will be able to help. More chance here than the Oly forum. Good luck, Bruce

The name comes from ebay mate. I wanted a 1/18th model of the “piss yella deuce coupe” from American Graffiti but I needed a user name. Everybody at uni called me spike so I tried that. It appears that about 1500 other Spikes were on there, and ebay suggested “hotrodspike” instead, and it stuck.
I do like hotrods and drag racing tho, had a lovely chat with Don Garlits at the Pod one year, lovely bloke. Also had a long chat with the late great Ray Beadle of “Blue Thunder” fame in the '70s, another really nice guy.
