Nite time flying

This was my first attempt at nite time flying
Everything was fine until I hit the record button
how do others accomplish this safely?
I only recorded a few shot and landed

What happened when you hit the record button?

… I would guess all the lights went off on the drone :man_shrugging:

Yep all the lights went off it wasn’t a nice feeling

Oh right, what drone was it?

Maybe get a strobe?

It was the mini 3 Pro

Strobe on the rear end should be OK and wouldn’t affect any recording unless you’re up pretty close to the subject. Probably puts it over 250 grams though :man_shrugging: - I know what I’d be doing

My thoughts exactly it will put the drone 15 grams over but I can’t see any other way to film safely
YT is full of nite time drone footage so maybe that’s what they do

I fit 3 of the Strobon Cree LED’s, one white on top and a red and green under the rear motors, gives me great visibility for night flying…

I do have my A2 CofC, so not too fussed at being just over 250g as I can fly it pretty much as a sub 250g but not over people…

Deffo invest in a Flytron - Stronbon Cree (GADC discount as well ) :grinning:

I do already have a strobe light but it’s the weight thing that’s stopping me from using it
After the other nite I will be trying it out after all the first rule and the last rule is SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY don’t you think ?

This is the strobe I have
