That looks sturdier than one of the originals I saw at nasa (which is why I’m convinced the moon landings were fake)
I have been thinking recently about the possibility of building a shell around a quad. Most frames are pretty compact though. I think you’d have to look at arms somewhat longer that you’d normally use to give you space.

There are some shells of fighters than can be used that I saw…trouble is cant remember where 
…its a bugger being old!!
