To be fair, the lanyard here looks very official, maybe a photocard would look even better!
I stick my FPVUK membership in the holder of my lanyard and wear a hi-viz with “Aerial Survey” written on the back (cost me about £5 off eBay). I normally wear work clothes and safety boots anyway so I feel as though I look the part, which gives me confidence.
It’s not necessary for me to wear the “officialdom kit” when I’m flying locally though, people are fully aware of me and my love of taking photos and often chat or laugh at Dogzilla hoping to catch the aircraft landing before I do
