Peveril Castle - Added to English Heritage in East Midlands

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

The castle is located high upon a hill. If you are a English Heritage member access is free. If not it is £7 entry fee.
(You still can’t TOAL from the site as EH don’t allow TOAL from there land)
I walked to the left of the castle entrance and walked behind the castle into a lovely gorge. From here I was able to TOAL
There is plenty of on street parking or you could just park in the carpark (pay and display) and then use the amenities putting anything you spend back into the local economy.
Must say the coffee place next to the car park is excellent.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 30/04/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Just a few more including the gorge behind the castle

That gorge also happens to be where The Princess Bride shot the scene where Westley & Buttercup* roll down the hillside on their way to the Fire Swamp.

* or their stunt doubles
