Phang Nga Bay is located near Phuket, Thailand, and the famous James Bond island and Panyee (Panyi) island are just a couple of the many islands within the national park.
You are not allowed to fly a drone anywhere near James Bond island, but you are allowed at Panyee island
Wow mate quite stunning👍.
It beats the hell out of footage from Crosby beach🤣
Thanks
Did you have any issues getting your drone permit for Thailand?
I keep hearing conflicting reports on how easy or difficult it is.
Also was there any problems at Thai airports with your batteries?
Your footage is spectacular.
Hi, i did register with the 2 Thai authorities and also purchased liability insurance for a minimum of 1,000,000 baht. You have to pay a small registration fee for one of the authorities, but luckily enough i had someone in Thailand that paid it for me online. I had no issues with taking my drones (mp3 pro & mavic 3 classic) in my hand luggage. All batteries were drained to around 30% and put into lipo battery bags. Nothings was checked flying out of Heathrow and Bangkok to Phuket.
Thats brilliant.
I have some Thai friends and will see if they can help with omline fee.
I hope to visit Pai in the north of the country in next couple of months and would love to take my drone with me.
I am sure that it was the Uav.caat site that once you have registered and they have reviewed it, then they will send you an invoice for a small fee, i think it was only a couple of hundred bhat.
Great video, reminds me of the lovely lunches I’ve had at Kohl’s Panyee.
Thanks for the reply … very interesting and not as bad as some would make you believe
