As a relatively newbie to FPV, I’ve become addicted to it and I’m certainly interested in taking part.
@SparkyFPV pointed out that this was done a couple of years ago, however since then the access to FPV drone has increased and technology have improved, which means that more drone owners will have taken up the hobby.
Before we ask the challenge committee to commit to this challenge, I’d like to understand if there is interest from other members, please vote in the below poll.
Yes, it’s of interest and I’d participate in a FPV Challenge?
No, it’s not for me

I’ll leave this poll open for a week, and then we can progress from there.
The post in the above link, explains what I believe the FPV challenge should consist of and how it will play out.
If I had administer permissions I’d update the Poll, however I’m unable to edit the poll and add that answer.
I’ll make sure I consider non-FPV drone pilots in future polls, that way not one will report me to Diversity & Inclusivity Police. (I’ve had a enough of that in my last role)
Editing a poll after it’s been created instantly deletes all the votes that have been cast.
This drives us ever so slightly mad with things like the “Which drone do you fly” poll, which is why we try to add future models that are on the horizon, as we can’t go back and edit it
Smoothest orbits the cleanest power loops and flattest drifts ever seen at the push of a button nowadays skills
However most can at least try an orbit challenge or hit a gap with a small amount of manualish skill involved
If they are to scared to take part because of a crash or bump let alone fly then you aint flying as far as I am concerned turn that obstacle avoidance off and learn to know the limits of the drone which I am sure we all should be doing Nobody’s perfect unless it is a DJI push button special super magic unicorn sparkle powerloop
As for flying tripods - medium size drones like Inspire 2 and 3 and heavylift drones carrying extremely expensive RED or Arri cameras are flown FPV, the camera are for filming or for search and rescue under the control of a second operator, the piulot relies on a wee FPV camera as the camera payload is not often pointing in the line of flight.
Matbe we could include those in our repertoire of tricks?
