Saw this pop up today ref RAF Waddington and a CAA consultation about flying armed drones out of their airspace.
Not sure why but I thought for sure we already flew them from around the country the same as with planes.
Suppose the big question is “Why would they want armed drones operating from Waddington” - when they already operate out of several NATO bases around North and Southern Europe…?
They will be based there and can use UK weapon ranges. So not logical to base them in Europe, except on exercises.
