RC Pro Controller and DJI RC/ RC 2 with FCC hack by Sincoder

I have just checked the Firmware files and the latest DJI RC release has upped the ARB value

This is a direct attack by DJI to stop exploits

If you update this Firmware you are stuck and CAN NOT Download

@kirky This is not the case for the DJI RC Pro but still don’t update till it is confirmed by someone that has tested the exploit

Ok thanks mate, :+1:t2:

Whilst I agree with not rushing to update the firmware, unless you want a new feature perhaps.

Isn’t not updating against the drone code and could therefore invalidate insurances etc, maybe including the GADC one? I have quite often seen the line saying that all manufacturer updates should be installed or words to that effect.

Woke up to a message from sincoder Rc pro no problem he says, still holding off tho, …

Something I don’t have

The clue is probably in the title of the thread

Also.,

DJI updates tend to break things and cause more harm, if I could give you one piece of Drone advice it would be to hold off any firmware or app updates

Isn’t applying the hack against the law ?

Point taken.

But quite often we easily advise against upgrading anyway irrespective of the hack or anything else.

Just saying that potentially it might invalidate insurance, just as installing hacks might.

I guess my insurance is stuffed and no point taking out the GADC upgrade :joy:

I stated that reason

I take it you never go over the speed limit and the service history is immaculate

 no comment officer…

Hopefully none of us ever need to claim.

Now where is that upgrade button before the offer vanishes tomorrow…

I can confirm the patch does apply no problems to the DJI RC PRO with the latest update ( THIS IS THE PRO NOT THE RC !!! )

FW v 03.02.0400

I still have patience 😅

Did you re-install the patch first, before the upgrade?

No, he said that’s only needed on the RC not RC PRO, took it out yesterday all works no problem, the update has an extra icon in the screen drop down menu for brightness, it did seem bright so I turned it off, but the patch is all good, just re download the file again exe as it’s a new file, if that makes sense.

I have re-downloaded the file again from the link Sincoder sent me in my original telegram message but it seems to be the same version as the original one I got from him, do you have the link for the new copy?

The new link should be in the link that you first started out with, or that link takes you to the latest link rather, he told me to not type the link in the search bar, I had to copy & paste link, downloaded extracted the file etc, that will also be the latest app.
Hope this helps.

Cheers

Having just checked, my original file had a modified date stamp of 10/05/23 and the new one on your link has a date of 18/06/23 so I am glad I asked :).
I think I may have a go at firing it onto my RC tomorrow. Worst case scenario according to the instructions is that I would have to factory the controller so not the end of the world.

Sorry if I misunderstood there, I think the link is always the same as far as I know, it’s just the file inside the link, weather it has been updated to a later version, sorry that’s what I meant. :+1:t2:

Martin, I am not sure if the Hack works on the latest Firmware, the problem with the latest firmware is DJI have changed it so you cant roll back to a previous one, so once on it that’s it

I would check with Sincoder and see what he says before you do anything
