@clinkadink Aye ….I realise that now it’s a huge area I’ve been looking at the history on the website ….there was a thread I was reading on here recently about the possibility of stitching multiple images of such a site taken straight down …not sure if it reached a conclusion though
Looks like about an altitude of about 500m or 1640’ above Badbury Rings would get it in frame. It sits about 100m or 330’ above sea level, and Google Earth framed shot is at 604m or 1981’.
It would also require many shots for a mosaic. This is 1 at 120m or 400’.
One day off this week ….tomorrow ! ……wind, rain, sleet, freezing cold ….my window of opportunity is closed for this competition ….well done to all who managed to get out and fly
Unfortunately the NHS kept the wife and I locked up at home - still ongoing - bah humbug, no going out flying, shopping or photographing.

Judging by the low-ish number of entries and the absence of some of the usual suspects we think the NT are keeping several of our competitors locked up for overflying their properties …
Same here ![]()
Sometimes it’s “ chance to fly “ rather than RTF
I was definitely up for entering this one, had it all planned for today until Covid decided to turn up on Thursday. Hoping a good subject wins the poll for the next competition!
Speedy recovery buddy! Hope it doesn’t kick your arse to badly
Unfortunately, the wind’s kept me indoors for this one.
The weather’s not been too great either.

Somebody seems determined to have a winner - even if it’s only by sheer weight of numbers
Just for a change it isn’t me
( Combination of bad weather, and when weather was OK I didn’t have time for a 4hr round trip to the nearest vaguely photogenic NT property
)
It looks like the parkies scared several of you away from playing in the NT Gardens. Although one boy seems to have been a serial offender. Or perhaps it was the weather …
So which is the best image? Cast your vote for the winners
As always, you can vote for one, none, some or all of the images whether you had entered a picture or not. Have fun but hurry - Poll closes 22:00 Monday evening!
And you can join in the next competition here …
Maybe I misinterpretted this comp

And we have winners!
First with a resounding 78% of people voting is @msgyorkie with his straight down shot (400 feet directly above?) of Oxborough Hall garden and maze. Well done Mark!
Second we have @ximi 's shot of Knipe Point and Cayton Cliff between Scarborough and Filey:
And in third place is a video of a never completed house, Lyveden New Bield in Northamptonshire. Well done @Acedrone / Jason
A great effort from you all, braving the wrath of the NT officials and the British weather, lets hope flying conditions improve, although we always have the Burns Month Challenge for those inclement days and long dark nights ![]()
